Perth, Pizza and Poorly Girl

Being another horribly rainy day yesterday we headed to Perth - yes, I know that doesn't make sense really - I mean, it's not as if Perth is any better in the rain than anywhere else but it was the other half's idea so we went. We treated ourselves to Pizza Hut and it was great fun, I even managed to get into Laura Ashley for a quick look (if only...). Then Miss Lucy started feeling a bit breathless (she has asthma), so she took her inhaler and we headed back to the car. She kept feeling worse in the car and so we just drove her straight to the hospital in Dunfermline - it seemed to take forever because not only was there the heavy rain, there was also fog and we could hardly see the road. The hospital were great and a nice nurse managed to get her to calm her breathing down because she was panicing which was making her worse of course. After the doctor had seen her and done a few tests we finally got home about an hour and a half later. I think her panicing had just exacerbated things and thankfully she didn't have to be admitted. She was taken into the hospital last October and I wouldn't like to go through that again. She is fine this morning, although she has eaten so many pancakes that she might soon have a tummy ache!!

On a lighter note - I think you are starting to convince my sister Judith to start a blog! I think all your lovely comments on her birthday post are persuading her - she even left a comment herself. I shall keep applying the pressure!! Incidentally, she came round the other day to show me her latest purchases from the Bead Shop so I think it's only fair that she makes something with those purchases and shows us it on her soon-to-be blog!! Yes Judith, I mean YOU!

Poor Luce, glad she's feeling better today. Pancakes are great medicine. Sounds like you had a nice day in spite of the rain.
I love Laura Ashley too but sadly way out of my price range.... I get lots of ideas in there though and find something cheaper elsewhere. For instance their cream painted bedroom furniture, sooo expensive, but I pick up second-hand furniture from boot-sales or Ebay and paint them, they look very "Laura" and are good enough for me.

It is hard when children have asthma, it comes on with the least bit of notice, my youngest daugter(now in her late 30`s) was born asthmatic, as she reached her teens things got better. She learnt to play the recorder then the flute and this helped to expand her lungs. I hope Lucy is well, what terrible weather for school hols.

Oh poor Miss Lucy!! I have 2 boys with asthma - not much fun, and quite scary at times. Our rainy days have finally stopped here, and today the sun is out - beautiful!!

Yes, Judith, join the gang!
I'm glad Lucy's feeling better now... poor kid! It's not much fun.
I got the Laura Ashley catalogue when I came back off holiday & spent a fair while looking at it and making plans. Can't afford furniture, aren't allowed to order crockery (and I plan to start collecting Bridgewater for best anyway) so it may be that I just have to cannibalise it for my notebooks. hey ho.
Are yours back at school now?

That must have been scary for Lucy. But glad to hear it all turned out ok....and pancakes always make everything better!

Judith, please listen to your sister! We would all love to see your creations. Blogging is fun even if it is addictive! And your life will be changed in so many wonderful ways.

Poor little Lucy, I hope she enjoyed the pancakes. It sounds as though you had a good time despite the weather.

How long will it be before we hear the "scrambled egg" story?

Is that what you would call cajoling? She'll have to cave now, we all want to see her work! Glad Lucy is feeling better, asthma can be pretty frightening.
